Interview Coaching
Preparing for job and career related interviews can raise concerns. Interviewees want to perform at their best and ensure they respond clearly, relevantly and confidently
Providing coaching and guidance about performing well in the interview situation has always been a feature within Hurst’s activities. It forms an integral part of our outplacement packages and has increasingly been requested as a standalone support service by those seeking internal moves or preparing for external activities. Ensuring people understand the relevance of Job Descriptions and Person Specifications is still of core importance as is their understanding of any assessment processes they might meet
This skill development activity is undertaken primarily on a one to one basis and includes the offer of using video recording to assist feedback. The resultant DVD also provides a reference for further personal and refresher viewings
When providing group outplacement support, we often offer a second workshop after the Job Search Techniques event to concentrate on interview performance. This is particularly relevant for those who may not have been in a competitive application situation for some time and who feel apprehensive about this part of the current job search process
